Synopsis

The story

Allied with a skeptical journalist and a rogue coder, Maya infiltrates Prepatente's hidden network, racing to file counter-claims before her memories and inventions are erased. Betrayals mount as allies reveal their own pre-patented agendas and the ledger begins rewriting reality itself.
In a final confrontation atop a skyscraper data vault, Maya uploads a virus that floods the ledger with public-domain claims. She sacrifices her own future patent to free the timeline, vanishing as the world wakes to chaotic, unowned innovation.
