Synopsis
Enid Pinxit, a mysterious painter whose hyper-real canvases explode online, unveils a new work depicting the brutal murder of a powerful gallerist. Hours later, the scene is found exactly as painted. Skeptical curator Marcus Vale, whose career collapsed after debunking a previous Pinxit piece, is pulled into the investigation when his own portrait appears in her next series. As Enid's brushstrokes rewrite events in real time, Marcus must decide if he's chasing a killer or becoming the subject of her final masterpiece.
The story
Enid's latest painting goes viral and eerily predicts a celebrity death. Marcus, broke and discredited, is hired to authenticate her work for a major retrospective.
Marcus infiltrates Enid's isolated studio, discovering paintings of his own impending doom and a web of past victims whose fates she has orchestrated. Allies turn against him as her influence spreads.
Confronting Enid in her burning studio, Marcus must destroy the final canvas depicting his death or let her finish it, choosing between exposing her or becoming immortal in her art.
