Synopsis
In a near-future where every conversation manifests as a fragile architectural edifice, elite fixer Lira Voss specializes in locating the fuzzy joints and imprecise load-bearing phrases that threaten to bring entire dialogues crashing down. Hired by desperate clients whose relationships, careers, and lives hang on a single misworded sentence, Lira threads her way through labyrinthine corridors of half-formed ideas, tightening syntax, clarifying intent, and reinforcing emotional supports before the structure collapses. When a high-stakes global negotiation begins to warp into an unrecognizable maze of contradictory meanings, Lira must confront the architect of the distortion—her own estranged mentor—before the resulting linguistic implosion rewrites reality itself.
The story
Lira is introduced as the world's premier conversation architect, fixing minor domestic disputes until a mysterious commission pulls her into a vast, unstable ideascape built from a peace treaty.
Navigating shifting floors of euphemisms and load-bearing lies, Lira discovers her mentor has deliberately introduced fatal ambiguities to sabotage the talks; alliances fracture and her own memories begin to blur as the structure fights back.
Lira sacrifices part of her own linguistic core to anchor the treaty in precise, unbreakable wording, emerging changed while the world’s conversations stabilize around newly clarified truths.

INT. SHIFTING PARLOR - NIGHT A half-finished Victorian room flickers as walls breathe. Words hover mid-air like scaffolding. LIRA VOSS (30s, precise, weary) steps through a doorway that wasn’t there a second ago. She touches a trembling beam labeled "I’m fine." LIRA This joint’s overloaded with subtext. One more evasion and the whole floor drops. She tightens an invisible bolt. The beam solidifies. Across the room, a YOUNG MAN and WOMAN argue, unaware their argument is literally falling apart around them. YOUNG MAN I said it’s nothing— The ceiling cracks. Lira slides a new phrase into place. LIRA (quietly) Try "I’m scared you’ll leave." The ceiling locks. Light returns. Lira exhales, already moving toward the next fracture.
