Synopsis
Enid Pinxit lives in a crumbling London studio where her hyper-real portraits sell for millions yet leave collectors changed forever. When a famous gallerist vanishes after buying her latest piece, Enid realizes the figures in her paintings are escaping, altering memories and erasing people from existence. Haunted by visions of her dead mentor, Enid races to finish a self-portrait that could seal the portals, while a relentless art critic and a obsessed collector close in, each demanding ownership of her gift. As reality fractures around her, Enid must decide whether to burn every canvas or become the final subject trapped inside her own masterpiece.
The story
Enid sells her most lifelike painting to a powerful collector; strange disappearances begin and she notices paint on her hands that won't wash off.
Enid's subjects start appearing in her flat at night, forcing confrontations that rewrite her past; an ally becomes an enemy as the paintings multiply and hunt her.
Enid completes the final self-portrait in a burning studio, sacrificing her ability to paint to trap every escaping figure and restore the world.

She dips her brush; the figure's sleeve twitches. Enid freezes. ENID Not tonight. She steps closer. The painted hand now holds a real key that wasn't there. Enid touches the canvas; her fingers sink through wet oil into cold air. She yanks back, gasping. Behind her, the studio lights flicker as the painted eyes open. ENID (CONT'D) I said not tonight.
