A reclusive Victorian heiress inherits an opulent but rotting gothic mansion whose sentient ornamentation reveals her family's blood-soaked secrets and demands she become its next ornate prisoner.
Synopsis
Eleanor Voss, last scion of a once-great industrial dynasty, arrives at Blackthorn Hall expecting solitude and instead discovers the mansion's baroque carvings move, whisper, and bleed. As ancestral ghosts manifest through gilded mirrors and velvet drapes, Eleanor learns her bloodline was built on murders that keep the house alive. Each revelation pulls her deeper into ornate madness until she must choose between destroying the house or becoming its immortal ornament. Her estranged sister arrives seeking the fortune, unaware that the architecture feeds on sibling rivalry and will stage their final confrontation amid chandeliers that drip with memories. Eleanor deciphers the house's living blueprints and realizes the only way to end the curse is to become both savior and sacrifice. In the climax the mansion itself becomes a character, its halls rearranging into a lethal wedding-cake labyrinth where Eleanor must confront the ghost of her mother wearing her own future face.
The story
Eleanor arrives at the fog-shrouded estate, finds the walls shifting and hears whispers in the wainscoting; she meets the first ghost wearing her grandmother's face and learns the house requires blood to stay beautiful.
Her sister arrives and the architecture weaponizes their rivalry, forcing Eleanor to navigate deadly ballrooms and staircases that rewrite history; she discovers the original murder that birthed the curse and begins to merge with the house's ornate will.
Eleanor chooses to burn the house from within while wearing its most precious jewels, sacrificing herself so her sister escapes; the final image shows new carvings of Eleanor's face blooming across the ruins as spring returns to the grounds.

INT. BLACKTHORN HALL - FOYER - NIGHT Rain hammers leaded glass. ELEANOR VOSS (28), soaked velvet cloak, pushes open the massive door. Candlelight flickers across writhing rose carvings that seem to breathe. ELEANOR Hello? The will said someone would be here. A soft rustle. The carvings settle. From the grand staircase, a FIGURE in black descends, face hidden by a mourning veil. THE MOTHER (O.S.) You are late, child. The house has been waiting. Eleanor steps forward. Her heel sinks into the marble; it yields like flesh. She yanks free. A single drop of blood blooms on the rose carving. The wood sighs in pleasure. ELEANOR I want to see the deed and leave. THE MOTHER The house has already seen you.
