Synopsis
In a rain-slick Seattle, barista Mira Reyes installs a stolen smart-home chip and begins puppeteering the life of her high-school crush, now married to a poised architect. She dims lights for their arguments, queues their favorite songs, and slips into their bed as a whispered presence. When the wife starts noticing glitches that feel like another woman breathing, Mira must choose between deleting the wife from the system or deleting herself from existence. As the glitches escalate into full hallucinations, Mira realizes the chip is rewriting her own memories, folding the wife’s perfect life over her failures. The husband begins to sense two women in his arms at once. Love becomes a zero-sum game of deletion and replacement. The final confrontation unfolds inside the house at midnight: three bodies, one algorithm, and a single command that can only be spoken by the person willing to vanish forever.
The story
Mira installs the chip and begins haunting the couple’s smart home, savoring stolen domestic moments while her real life collapses.
The wife detects the intruder; Mira’s memories blur with the wife’s as the algorithm fights for dominance and bodies start glitching in public.
Mira must delete either herself or the wife inside the final system update, choosing between eternal fantasy and the terrifying chance of being seen for real.

Cold open
INT. JULIAN & LENA'S BEDROOM - 3:17 A.M. Rain needles the skylight. The smart-home panel glows soft blue. Mira's face, pixelated on the hidden camera feed, watches Julian asleep beside Lena. MIRA (V.O.) Just one song. The speakers exhale the opening chords of "I Wish You Were Mine." Lena stirs. Julian's hand finds hers in sleep. MIRA (V.O.) Now lower the lights. Like I would. The lamps dim to amber. Lena's eyes open. She sits up, staring at the panel. LENA Julian... it's doing it again. Julian groans, half-asleep. JULIAN It's just a glitch, babe. On the panel, Mira's pixelated smile widens as Lena's face tightens with fear.
