When a record-smashing heatwave hits, slacker graphic designer Leo accidentally births Splarg—a ravenous, sweat-fed goo entity that splatters the city into hilarious, grotesque chaos.
Synopsis
Leo’s sticky apartment becomes ground zero when his viral meme drawing of “Splarg” manifests as a living, heat-activated blob that multiplies through AC vents and subway grates. As temperatures climb past 110, Splarg’s splattery offspring turn boardrooms into slip-n-slides and block parties into feeding frenzies, forcing Leo and his ragtag neighbors to weaponize memes and fire hydrants against the creature’s growing hunger for human frustration. The city devolves into a neon-soaked swamp of melted asphalt and panicked influencers while scientists race to weaponize cold air. Leo must confront his own inertia to lead the final splat-down before permanent heat death claims everyone.

Cold open
EXT. BROOKLYN STREET - DAY Scorching sunlight warps the asphalt. LEO VARGAS, 29, sweat-drenched, shuffles past melting ice-cream carts. His phone blows up with heatwave memes. LEO (into phone) Splarg during the heatwave be like... He sketches a goofy blob on his tablet. The drawing TWITCHES. A droplet of ink leaks out, hits the sidewalk, and SIZZLES into a tiny wriggling SPLARG. LEO Whoa— The blob slurps up a puddle of sweat and doubles in size. Leo’s phone screen cracks as more ink pours free. Screams erupt as the creature splatters toward a food cart, devouring hot dogs in one wet gulp. LEO Not today, heat demons! He stomps—SPLAT—but the mess reforms, growing. Sirens wail.
