A derelict transmission from LV-426 exposes the Space Jockey's desperate final battle with an Engineer-spawned nightmare that rewrites the birth of the xenomorph.
A derelict transmission from LV-426 exposes the Space Jockey's desperate final battle with an Engineer-spawned nightmare that rewrites the birth of the xenomorph.
Synopsis
Deep-space salvage crew intercepts a 1979-era distress beacon that was never logged. Inside the wreckage they discover an intact bio-chamber still running, projecting the missing Prometheus confrontation: the Space Jockey, mortally wounded, manually jettisoning the xenomorph eggs to prevent an even older horror from reaching Earth. As the team deciphers the Engineer language, the chamber awakens, replaying the Jockey's choice to sacrifice himself and his ship. The ancient pathogen begins mutating the salvage crew in real time, forcing them to decide whether to destroy the only surviving record or let the truth escape. The final transmission reveals why both films cut away: the horror was never the xenomorph, but the knowledge that humanity was engineered as a failsafe that failed.
The story
A battered salvage crew answers an unlogged 1979 beacon near LV-426. They breach the Space Jockey's still-powered bio-chamber and begin replaying its final log.
The log forces the crew to relive the Jockey's last stand against an Engineer pathogen; the organism begins infecting them, turning allies into hosts while they race to understand the override sequence.
Survivors must choose to erase the only record of humanity's engineered origin or broadcast it, knowing either choice dooms the species.

INT. DERELICT BIO-CHAMBER - NIGHT A single flickering holo-projector bathes the ribbed walls in pale blue. CAPTAIN LENA VOSS (40s) steps through mist, helmet light cutting across a massive prone figure: the SPACE JOCKEY, chest plate cracked, hand still clamped on a dead override lever. VOSS This signal... it was never in the logs. DR. MARCUS HALE activates the projector. A towering ENGINEER appears, shouting in guttural tones as black fluid erupts from his wounds. The Jockey roars, drives a spear into the console, and triggers the self-destruct. The hologram glitches, revealing rows of unhatched eggs. HALE (whispering) He wasn't transporting them. He was stopping them. The chamber lights snap to red. A low, wet breathing begins behind the walls.

Audiences are desperate for answers to the biggest unanswered questions in modern sci-fi while craving the tactile, practical terror that defined the original Alien; this lost-scene story delivers both the mythic scope and the gut-level dread they haven't felt since 1979.
