Synopsis

In a bustling city where pets live secret double lives, scrappy tabby Rocco chases what he thinks is just another toy mouse—only to discover it’s a glitchy high-tech prototype that’s come alive and is wrecking everything in its path. With each explosive, rubber-band-physics set piece, Rocco’s cartoonish pursuit pulls in a misfit crew and forces him to admit he cares about the block he pretends to ignore. As the chase spirals from rooftops to subways to an all-out parade finale, Rocco learns the mouse isn’t the villain—it’s a scared creation trying to reach its kid owner before it’s scrapped. The cartoon logic that once made him unstoppable now threatens to erase the real world unless he stops running from responsibility. In the final, gravity-defying showdown, Rocco must choose between the endless chase he loves and protecting the home he’s always had.

The story

Act I

Rocco, a lazy but lightning-fast alley cat, spends his days chasing laser dots and dodging the dogcatcher until a glowing robotic mouse escapes a tech van and turns his neighborhood into a pinball machine of destruction.

Act II

The chase escalates through subways, construction sites, and a packed parade, forcing Rocco to team up with the very mouse he’s hunting while the city’s pet underworld hunts them both.

INT. ROOFTOP NIGHT

A full moon hangs over a rain-slick city skyline. ROCCO, a lean orange tabby, crouches on a ledge, eyes locked on a dancing red LASER DOT. He wiggles, then LEAPS—cartoon physics stretch his body like taffy before snapping back.

ROCCO
(under breath)
Mine.

The dot zips across rooftops. Rocco ricochets off chimneys, flips over vents, and slides down a drainpipe. Suddenly the dot multiplies into dozens. One morphs into PIXEL, a glowing blue robotic mouse with tiny jet boots.

PIXEL
(electronic squeak)
Not today, whiskers!

Pixel BLASTS off, carving a smoking trail. Rocco’s eyes widen with pure joy and fury.

ROCCO
Oh it is SO on.

He rockets after it, body stretching, squashing, and boinging through impossible angles as the city lights blur beneath them.

Why now

In an era of endless doom-scrolling, audiences crave pure, joyful kinetic escapism that celebrates the ridiculous cat videos they already love, delivered with modern animation firepower and zero cynicism.
