Synopsis
Disgraced fighter Rei Kisaragi wakes at the base of an endless crimson torii staircase that stretches into blood-red clouds. Each landing hosts a lethal trial: phantom warriors, living memories, and ravenous spirits that wear the faces of her past victims. Armed only with a broken bokken and raw instinct, Rei ascends, realizing the staircase feeds on regret and that escape demands she confront the viral fight that destroyed her family. As the steps multiply and the torii bleed light, Rei’s former rival and lost love appear as spectral opponents, forcing her to choose between vengeance and release. The higher she climbs, the more the dimension warps into her own highlight-reel nightmares, turning social-media fame into literal hell. In the final ascent the staircase collapses into a single shrine gate; Rei must shatter it with the truth of her guilt or become another eternal guardian. One swing decides whether she returns to the living world or joins the stairs forever.
