Synopsis

Alex Rivera plans a blissfully boring day out—coffee, museum, maybe a park bench. Instead a pulsating third eye erupts on his forehead, peeling back every billboard, conversation, and smile to reveal the raw data of deceit pulsing beneath. What begins as personal freak-out becomes a frantic sprint through a metropolis where eyes are both weapons and prisons, forcing Alex to decide whether to rip the organ out or weaponize it against the architects of collective blindness.

The story

Act I

Alex, exhausted accountant, finally takes a day off and discovers the third eye during morning coffee; initial terror yields to intoxicating clarity as he sees coworkers and strangers for who they truly are.

Act II

Pursued by corporate agents who want the eye harvested, Alex allies with a rogue ophthalmologist and a disillusioned influencer; chases, revelations, and moral whiplash escalate across the city as the eye begins to evolve.

Act III

Cornered atop a skyscraper broadcasting tower, Alex chooses to broadcast the eye’s unfiltered feed citywide, shattering the illusion grid and sparking mass awakening before the eye burns out, leaving him human again yet forever changed.

INT. ALEX'S APARTMENT - MORNING

Sunlight slices through cheap blinds. ALEX RIVERA, 34, sits at a tiny kitchen table, pouring cereal. His phone buzzes with work emails. He silences it.

ALEX
Day off. No exceptions.

He lifts the spoon. A wet, tearing sound. Blood trickles down his forehead. A third eye, veiny and glistening, blinks open between his brows.

ALEX
What the—

Through the new eye the cereal box screams nutritional lies in pulsing red text. The spoon reflects his terrified face—three times. The eye rotates, independent, hungry.

Why now

In an era of deepfakes, algorithmic gaslighting, and voluntary surveillance via phones, Eye Day taps the collective paranoia that we are all being watched and are watching others watch us; audiences crave a cathartic story of ripping the lens away.
