Synopsis
Dr. Marcus Hale dismisses a routine ear complaint from software engineer Leo Voss until the patient begins repeating private conversations he could never have overheard. As the whispers escalate into commands, Leo's grip on reality fractures and his body begins to betray him in grotesque ways. Allies turn suspect as the entity reveals decades-old crimes and desires Leo has buried, forcing him to race through the city before the voice fully possesses him. A desperate confrontation in an abandoned clinic reveals the thing isn't alien but an ancient human parasite seeking a new host through modern medical channels.
The story
Leo visits his doctor complaining of a persistent itch and faint voice in his left ear; dismissed as stress, the voice quickly names coworkers' private sins and Leo's own repressed guilt.
The entity grows louder, forcing Leo into dangerous acts while his body mutates; allies including his wife and best friend become targets as paranoia isolates him and the parasite spreads to others.
Leo lures the entity into a final medical showdown, sacrificing part of himself to destroy its host cycle and reclaim silence at devastating personal cost.
